Owned and operated by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd since its foundation in 1868, Home of the Good Shepherd remains faithful to its mission to awaken in others a sense of infinite worth and dignity. By providing support and basic necessities, the Home minimizes some of the barriers women and children experience as they move forward with their lives. Home of the Good Shepherd programs are designed to encourage self-sufficiency, motivate personal growth and develop within each individual an increased sense of personal worth.
