In Balance Living is a transition program for young men who have successfully completed primary treatment and need or desire additional support in order to maintain their sobriety while learning how to take on the challenges of becoming a sober, happy and independent adult. The In Balance Living program, as well as the other In Balance programs, is located in the heart of the Sonoran desert in southeastern Arizona. In Balance Living is conveniently located in the center of metropolitan Tucson, just minutes from a major university, a reputable community college, and In Balance's own satellite high school facility. Their location is safe, discreet and in a residential neighborhood thus helping create a home environment and not a treatment Pond on the south facing side of In Balance Transitional Living environment. Residents have easy accessibility to public transportation allowing them to find meaningful employment, enriching volunteer opportunities and schooling. Many residents have bicycles as Tucson is a bike friendly community and enjoy the freedom of riding their bikes to their activities. Their 20 bed facility has all the comforts of home while acting as a model for independent living and offers the safe and structured environment after the completion of primary treatment. Since the opening of this unique facility some six years ago, they have added a basketball court, a tranquil and relaxing koi pond, a group and game room to provide each of their residents with a safe place to grow, recover, and appreciate.
