As more and more men involved with their program are released from prison, MOV continues to support and encourage them as they gain employment, reconcile with family members, and become productive members of society. The optimal environment for this transition is a safe, supportive residential setting where the men can benefit from ongoing training, education, life skills, accountability, counseling, and bible study. This belief, accompanied with the fact that the Jericho Project releases 30 - 40 men a year, has led Men of Valor to embark on the bold and unprecedented venture of raising $6,500,000 to build a centralized "Aftercare Transitional Complex." This "complex" will eventually give 38 men a year transitional living quarters where they can best enter the work force, find a church home, and grow into the men God wants them to be. The completed "complex" will also feature MOV staff offices, a large assembly hall/gymnasium, multiple counseling and education rooms, exercise area, and laundry areas. Phase One of the Vision is already operating with Men of Valor running a transitional home for eight men on the property. MOV plans to begin Phase Two in July 2011 by breaking ground on three additional homes. Since reconciling with family members, especially children, is a primary goal for many of the men, the "campus" will also feature people-friendly spaces for family counseling, visitation, and activities. This aspect of the MOV program is vital for breaking the cycle of crime in families!Their goal is family reconciliation! Built at no cost to Tennessee taxpayers, this program will actually save Tennessee taxpayers millions of dollars!
