Mercy Housing and Shelter Corportion is a Transitional Housing/Shelter for AIDS/HIV "Ryan White Part A: Transitional Housing"Short term emergency housing for single adults without children who are HIV+. Program provides stable housing while services are accessed and permanent housing is sought. Maximum stay of two years.  SITE HOURS:  Monday - Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM    ELIGIBILITY: Ages 18+; Must be HIV+ have income at or below 300% FPL    AGENCY DESCRIPTION:  Service agency for people who are homeless provides soup kitchen, day shelter and services to homeless families and individuals, and transitional housing for single adults for up to two years. Services to people with AIDS include case management and substance abuse counseling, an AIDS residence and subsidized scattered site apartments. Mercy Housing also manages supportive housing programs for individuals who have mental illness and for families with substance abuse and other issues who are living in their own apartments.  


Mission Statement: Mercy Housing and Shelter Corporation provides housing assistance and supportive services to persons who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Mercy works to empower its clients to become independent, so they may live and work with dignity and respect. Mercy seeks to end homelessness by advocating for changes in the social systems that perpetuate homelessness. Mercy welcomes and serves all in need in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy, who founded the organization in 1983.
