There are residents here in North Beach, specifically Nashville Avenue, that are concerned. Many of us have been here for over 40 years. People from these halfway houses are hanging around Nashville Market (Corner of Nashville and Ventnor Avenue) and we have been suffering for quite some time with the neighborhood falling apart. These individuals are smoking weed right outside there....in plain sight, in front of kids... This is not going to work. I would think that part of the rehab process is teaching these people right from wrong...this isn't the Atlantic City hood AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE LOITERING LIKE THIS...and we are getting tired of it. I'd like to know who authorized that many halfway houses in this area when the residents are working hard to improve the neighborhood. I'm writing you people now in lieu of contacting Chief Biagi, of Ventnor. Whoever supervises these people need to take care of this.... You wouldn't like it in our neighborhood..This area is a summer resort....and people are investing money to build brand new upscale townhomes at Nashville and Ventnor Avenues (8 total I believe). Nobody is going to buy these properties with this crap going on.....clean it up please... Just another "non profit" doing whatever they please...we are not happy at all....fix it... I'm speaking for many families on this block....
