At the Palm Beach Institute, after clients complete medical detoxification to rid the body of toxins from addictive substances and achieve stability, their next step is to enter a treatment program in which they can begin to understand and address the underlying reasons for their addiction.Rehab programs are vital in providing the knowledge and tools to live a healthy life without drugs or alcohol.Recovery programs can be adapted according to a person's needs and preferences. They won't look the same for everyone, because people's experiences with addiction vary. The duration of a treatment program depends on how long clients have a dependency and the severity of their dependency, as well as other factors.Long-term residential drug treatment programmed are the highest level of care for addicts, requiring patients to stay in the treatment facility for 90 days or more.Long-term residential treatment gives clients time to properly address the root of their dependency and learn strategies and tools that will point the way to sobriety.
