Second Chance is a San Diego nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people change their lives. Second Chance helps men, women and youth move from poverty to self-sufficiency by providing job readiness training, job placement assistance, case management, mental health services, financial literacy and affordable housing. They help break the cycle of drugs, homelessness and incarceration. Second Chance Housing provides quality and supportive housing, helping residents consistently progress towards self-sufficiency. Adult residents of Sober Living Housing come from all walks of life and backgrounds. Their homes are designed to offer a safe, substance-free environment supporting recovery and fostering personal growth.

Mission Statement: To disrupt the cycles of incarceration and poverty by helping people find their way to self-sufficiency. Second Chance is dedicated to helping justice-involved individuals achieve sobriety, economic prosperity and ultimately self-sufficiency. This is done through education, encouragement, specialized training and supportive services which address issues such as behavioral health, housing, transportation and substance abuse.
