My experience as a resident of one of Structured Living male sober homes in Ann Arbor since last few months has been very good, especially for my wallet and recovery. Last year my parents had to shell out more than twenty thousand dollars on my 30 day treatment at a renowned facility in Florida to carry on my recovery at their gender specific sober transitional home(s) in Ann Arbor, MI. Now, I attend a reputable local IOP three times a week at a fraction of the cost for a residential treatment, maintain a regular job on the 2nd shift at a local store while staying in a structured living environment. I am convinced that by just staying among group support makes all the difference in the world for my sobriety. So, I am receiving regular treatment and staying in a comfortable place while being able to work. It is a win win for me and I have no plans to leave as there is no limit on how long I can stay here provided I do not mess up and do what I am supposed to do. Simple. I know a couple of guys who have are sitting pretty since they move in more than three years ago. There are a bunch of themin both men's and women's facilities, with stays extending more than a year. From what I have learnt, one of the major factors that makes this place uniue is that these guys seem to be financially strong, independently, which translates in their ability to keep a bed unoccupied and 'open' for you to move in on a particular date. So, if you are in a rehab and have secured a bed with a payment to move into upon your discharge, a spot that comes available many days before your promised date, is kept ready and vacant for you. This assurance takes a heavy load off your mind and you do not have to worry about whether you will have a safe place to move into upon discharge from your treatment. Wiah there were more place like this. Good job.

Today, I am 1 year and 3 months sober !! I have been living at Structured Living since September 2013 and this is the first time I have been sober for such a long period. Ever. I can sincerely say that without Structured Living, I would not have been able to maintain my sobriety. This is the best thing that could have happened to me. With my A.A. support and fellowship with my roommates and others whom I have met in Ann Arbor, I am making steady progress. My improved mental, physical health and emotional health has given me a new lease on life. I am so grateful for all the support I have received from the people at Structured Living and giving me the opportunity to start my life over again and learn to live with hope, optimism and serenity. I highly recommend these sober homes to anyone who is serious about getting and staying drug and alcohol free. There is no better place and city to make a new beginning. This place gives you the foundation and a stable environment that you need to be successful in recovery.

Caring, Considerate and Mindful I judge any enterprise or service by the way they listen to you and pay attention to your individual needs. At Structured Living, especially the person in Davinder Singh, its founder, is an excellent listener & treats everyone as a special individual. He makes you feel like a million dollars…like you are WANTED!! Trust that is why some who have benefited through their services swear that D has a 'healing touch'. His caring attitude makes all the difference. This uniquely special culture of care has filtered down and it is which sets Structured Living apart and in a league of their own. I will recommend these places without a hitch or any doubt to anyone seeking a quality sober aftercare or post rehab transitional living.
