The SWCDP is a state-approved treatment centre that provides intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment for chemical dependence. The SWCDP supports a philosophy of total abstinence treatment for all psychotropic drugs and actively promotes the principles of recovery of Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon and Narcotics Anonymous as primary treatment tools in addition to group and individual counselling. Abstinence, sobriety, progressive development of autonomy and good mental health are the main goals of SWCDP treatment. Services are provided to any individual who requests assistance with a problem related to chemical dependence or co-dependence, regardless of ability to pay, race, creed or gender.
